Hi!, my name is Karla and

I used to be.... a professional athlete for 10 years in the sport of Surf Lifesaving, going on to win numerous World and Australian Ironwoman titles.

Now I am....a mother of two gorgeous girls aged 4 and 1, wifey, housecleaner, cook, swing pusher, animal lover, fitness enthusiast and of course...beach and surf fanatic! I have also completed a diploma in business marketing and am a qualified personal trainer and run an events company with friends www.elementx.com.au

I look forward to.....spending days surfing with the girls, the odd snippets of relaxation, time spent pondering, family holidays, Summer time!

I'm in my happy place when.....exercising, doing everything on my 'to do list' for the day, 7pm comes around, finding that 'something' that grabs my eye when shopping. When the girls are giggling and playing together. Being organised.

Sometimes I.....expect too much of myself, loose my cool, am in bed by 8.30pm (actually most nights)

My ultimate wish would be to.... just to press the pause button for a while (after house cleaned, meals cooked etc;) and just enjoy the moment and let time stand still and enjoy those around me.

Why am I doing this....? I don't really know the answer to this one, it is fun, I enjoy being creative and I guess it is like a 'hobby'. One day I hope to turn my posts into a book and give to my girls.
