If you are exercising outdoors during winter you will know how your skin can take a battering. The drop in temperatures, chilly winds and lack of humidity really takes it's toll. The hot showers we so look forward to after a workout also dry the skin, which is why it's important to try and retain the moisture as much as possible.
If there is something I cannot stand the feeling of, it's dry skin, hence why I go through the moisturisers frequently. I have little stashes through the house, upstairs, downstairs, in the car, for easy reach.
I thought I would share some of my favourites that are getting a good workout themselves this winter and keeping the icky flaky skin at bay. I don't pay much attention to the fancy expensive brands but gravitate towards products that can be affordable and do the job..
From left to right
+ MooGoo milk wash - I have only just started using this and love it's non drying feeling, especially on my face. It is made from sugar and milk proteins so it is extra gentle. Lovely and creamy!
+ Oil of Marrakesh - If you don't have a bottle of this then you are missing out. The ultimate hair replenisher, it tames the frizzies and add shine as well.
+ Palmers foot magic with peppermint oil - This is the BOMB for overused feet - it revitalises and really gives a great deep moisturisation - perfect for cracked heels
+ Rosehip oil - used morning and night around my eye area, I like to just let it sit and sink in....
+ Ella Bache creme allantoin - this one has been my fave for years now, but it only comes out during winter as it really is too thick during summer. It acts as a barrier to the elements and my skin feels nice and soft, dewy like even!
+ Palmers Shea Butter - used all over the body - simple and effective, nuf said!
+ Alpha-H Liquid Gold Mask - the title says it all. I love the soft as a babies bottom feeling my face has afterwards. Lovely and calming
+ Palmers cocoa butter hand cream - this is used a few times a day and I love how it sinks in quickly and has a lovely smell.
+ Yes to carrots c me blush lip tint- with peppermint added it gives it a bit of zing, lovely and soothing with the coconut oil.
+ U little beauty natural shine hair serum - I use this in conjunction with the Moroccan oil - non greasy it also helps to give the hair shine
+ Babor body line thermal exfoliant - with algae and menthol (sensing a mint theme so far?) it is a great face scrub - I do love something quite grainy!
+ Ella Bache revitalisant - also a face scrub I use this if my skin is feeling a little overexposed as it is nice and gentle with the chamomile.
+ Bellamer eye balm - this ultra calming balm has all natural ingredients including shea butter, and essential oils of chamomile and peppermint. I use this rotating with the rosehip oil and found it to be one of the only eye creams that doesn't irratate my skin. Love the 'balm' concept as well, fills those lines beautifully!

So there you have it - this is not a paid post, all products I truly love and use on a daily basis.
Your time to share...what has been on the top of your list this winter?
