Winter 2012,..thankyou!

Winter 2012, I must say you have been rather pleasant...I was doubting you in the early months and cursing the fact that we have to endure the change in seasons BUT this last months weather has made up for the shortcomings.

 

This officially being the last weekend of winter, today was no exception to the gorgeous weather you can put on when you want to.  I must admit you are not my favourite season but in the future I promise not to dread you as much as I have in the past. 

 

 

This year saw a coloured jean trend which I absolutely love...and helped me to overcome my legging wearing habits of the past.  I found a way to stay mostly dry while still enjoying my muchly beloved ocean (on a SUP board) and realised the fact that if we had summer all year round our skin would be showing DOUBLE the signs of aging that it has now.

 

I have enjoyed all the winter fruits such as strawberries and mandarins and finally getting a herb garden going without the heat destroying it. The snuggling up under the doona is the best and this is one part that I will miss come a few months time...so with that I thankyou winter 2012, you did good.
