A wet weekend surprise

It has been quite wet to say the least in our parts, quite normal for this time of the year but it does take it's toll...

Before kids, I used to love the rain, snuggle up on the couch, with a magazine or a movie and just let the weather do what it does.  Now, I feel like my life is dictated what the weather is doing.  I have never used the words 'getting cabin fever' or 'feel like I am in a fishbowl' until now. 

It is cruel that we can't visit the beaches during our hottest Summer month, and finding indoor activities for the kids goes against the grain.... 

A last minute party invite was very welcome for Sunday morning, just as we were thinking what to do with the girls....Ten pin bowling!

I admit I have probably visited a ten pin bowling center, well, I cant remember....so it was all new to me.  It was a first for the girls and most of their friends, and very cute to watch....They had size 6 toddler shoes that were oh so adorable and ramps to help get the ball rolling.  It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning...raining or not!

What are your favourite activities to do on rainy days?  It looks like we are in for another wet week so I am after some suggestions.....at home and away.....
