The learning curve

Starting my own blog has been a real eye opener to say the least. By that I don't mean from what I have been reading on the bloggosphere but the whole process of getting my own blog live.

You can keep it simple and use standard templates if you want mainstream or professionals to design you up something personal but not me.  I thought if it is going to be about me it going to be done by me...with a little help from Andrew. So I logged onto blogger and began to think of a name.

I wanted something to reflect my past and present so Ironmum Karla was the best I could come up with. I am far from being a Ironmum so I guess it is just like taking the mickey out of myself!

Next came the design which I have been really enjoying. I have changed things ten times over and I am sure it will keep evolving but I am happy with it for now. I am sure the creativity juices will begin to be unearthed.

Learning HTML codes, widgets and photo hosting has got the brain turning over and I have gone to sleep quite a few nights left very frustrated! Being the determined person I am though, perseverance has prevailed with a lot of help from google.

Next was getting the social platforms going with my Facebook page and Twitter account. I have never been big on these in the past so I will see how I go.

I hope you like what I have created and look forward to sharing my thoughts, events, ups and downs, and mistakes...as I am sure there will be quite a few...so take it easy on me!
