One thing we always have on hand in my house is fruit. It is something I don't budge on having on a daily basis and it is always given before treats are offered.
Even though it is so good for the kids to actually chew their fruit, some days I find it is easier to make a smoothie juice. Often I get towards the afternoon and realise the day has gotten away and no one has had fruit so this is a fast way without too much whinging! My 3 year old likes a combo of watermelon, banana and pear with a spoon of icecream and doesn't like to differ from this too much being the creature of habit that she is..
It would work just as well with apple, berries, orange (can make it overpowered for kids though), any fruit that is in season. Just a matter of experimenting to find your flavour.
I thought I would share this blend with you for yourself or your kids, the perfect quick fix.
1 pear, peeled and chopped
1 small banana, chopped
equal part of watermelon1 small scoop icecream
Blend and enjoy!
