Charity lunches and birthdays....the weekend that was

I had a ball over the weekend.  It was very social, and when I say social, I mean adult social, not kiddy social....which was a nice change:) Although there was plenty of that as well...  I started my weekend on Friday when I was invited to the Byron at Byron Movember Charity Luncheon. Myself, Trevor Hendy, Wayne Bennett, Ben Ikin, Rabbit Bartholomew, and Ironman Triathlete Pete Jacobs were interviewed by Brad McEwen. 

It was a fantastic day with lovely company and plenty of blokes 'doin the mo' and supporting the cause.  I cannot rave enough about how beautiful and relaxing this resort is and I look forward to sharing a weekend with the family there soon. 

Around $15,000 was raised and I loved listening to the other guys speak...I never tire listening to sportspeople, always so inspirational!

On Saturday night I headed out on the town with a few girlfriends to celebrate a birthday.  We dined at the Mecca Bah and the food was de.lic.ous. just how I imagined Moroccan food to be.  We had so much fun, and ended up running into some friends and kicking on a bit....I have not been out that late for a loonnggg time!

On Sunday we hit the beach early and made the most of the beautiful high tide. We really do live in a magic part of the world.
