New energy booster put to the test

Last week I was sent Beet-it juice shots and juice to trial, and that I did.  It  wasn't going to be the best of weeks for me, energy wise, which in turn was a good week to trial them. I have always been a bit of a beetroot devotee, loving my concoction with apple, ginger and celery so I was used to the taste.  I was surprised when I tried the Beet-it just that it was actually sweet...and really easy to drink.  I am not really into the heavy sugar energy drinks so it felt good to drink something totally natural.

Apparently it is full of NO (nitric oxide) which has been haled as great for cardiovascular health and increases oxygen intake.  Endurance has been touted to improve by 16% also.  This I wanted to see for myself so I I kept up my usual exercise routine while I embarked on drinking the juice for the week.

I was able to get out the door most days this week to get 'my exercise fix'. I had a shot beforehand and continued a glass of juice during the day, now, I don't know if it is my head but I feel great, it has been 6 days and after a 1 1/2 hr bike ride this morning I am still charging. I also felt like I could get that ' extra breathe' on some runs I did, but that could have to do with many factors that being a mum brings....

Which brings me to my husband...Andrew had been sick for the past couple of weeks with some throat thing which was brought on by me sending him to a boxing session with my old fitness coach.  (Unless I organise these sorts of things, he gets a little lazy).  I 'tweeted' earlier on the day to Beet-it that my husband was wondering where I was getting my energy from this week.  "Why not give him a shot" was the reply, in which I did, on his way out the door to another boxathon.  Well, the good news is he hasn't packed it in on me post session so dare I say it helped?

All on all I enjoy drinking Beet- it even if it is just for the health benefits, as for the exercise enchanting qualities, ill leave that one to the researchers. The bonus was that I managed to get through what was a tiring week a little better off.

Beet-It shots and bottles are available from the 'Beet-It' website and some major supermarkets
