Little people and little moments

It always feels a little weird this time of the year for me.  The Australian surf lifesaving titles are held during late March and even though it has been 9 years (wow, gone so fast!) since I retired it still feels like strange not being a part of it.

The feelings don't last long though as there are little people now to look after and we spent the weekend doing little things together!

When the weather is being kind, which lately has been rare..we like to jump on the bikes and head out for a ride with the kids on the back. As long as the destination has a park or swing involved, it seems a fair trade

This catamaran was catching the afternoon sun just brillantly!

When my husband has some spare time on his hands he likes to think he is 'livin the dream' as we jokingly say and gets out the yabby pump and throws a line in.

The girls love it just as much and aren't afraid of the ones with nippers!

"Yabby, Yabby, Yabby"

We don't really expect to catch anything but on the odd occasion that we do, it is very exciting for the girls...

I love these grounding weekends, no plans but filling them with lots of warm and fuzzy moments together.
