7 things christmassy you didn't know about me

Last week I was passed on a 'blogging award' from the amazing KT at Taylor Made Baking. If you haven't checked out her blog yet, pop on over, she seriously knows a thing or two about cakes and parties!

The deal was for me to share 7 things about me that are related to Christmas.  In honesty I probably could have chosen more than 7 once I got thinking, but in keeping it short and sweet...Here's my list......

1.  Pavlova is always a feature at my family Christmas celebrations - true aussie dessert but I do like the look of a chocolate version that I found here

2.  We discovered this great little site that makes up awesome messages for the kids..and grown ups for that matter Portable North Pole, it even has an iphone ap now. Seen to be believed...or not in this case;)

5. Our tree went up last week and it was looking a treat..for a few hours til one little toddler in particular made it her mission to throw the babbles around the house! Now it has a permanent bald spot around the bottom.

4. I enjoy exercising on Christmas day - it is a bit of a tradition thing - but funnily enough I am not alone!

5. I would love to one day experience a white Christmas in New York ...the steam rising from the manholes, chestnuts, ice skating, all rugged up...you know what I mean

6. We spend our Christmas mornings at the beach or the pool, weather permitting.  Before kids, it was a tradition to go for a surf and I look forward to doing this again once the girls get older.

7.  Our tree comes down boxing day, if we are home.  There's just something about having the tree still up after Christmas has been and gone.

Now it's my turn to pass this onto some of my bloggy friends, but please I know it is a busy time of the year so just see it as a compliment, not something you have to do.
